Open enrollment is now being accepted for the Davis School of Music! Tuition is paid by semester or half-semester, or can be pro-rated if a student begins in the middle of a semester. Make up lessons will be offered during designated make-up weeks for up to two lessons missed by the student per semester. All lessons missed by instructor will be made up.

For Pro-Rated Rates: Please visit SBDAC and speak with an employee to determine appropriate tuition rate.

For Half-Semester Rates: Students either splitting total tuition cost in two halves or those taking lessons for only half a semester will pay tuition on the date of registration and at the half-way mark for each semester.

Pre-Twinkle Lessons

*Introductory lessons for preschoolers who have not yet mastered the first Suzuki piece, Variations on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, which also include a lot of singing and movement.

6 Week Songwriting Course with Julian Sundby

Pricing information to be announced!

This course teaches the styles, structure and basics to organized songwriting. Class members will learn chords on the piano, common chord progressions, melody writing, lyrical meter and rhyme patterns and how they all mix together to write a song. Each student will develop two original songs and have one selected and recorded at a top-notch recording studio.

  • This course is for beginning to advanced songwriters, ages 12+
  • Students must have a willingness to perform their songs in front of the class and step outside his or her comfort zone. Experience with musical instruments is not necessary

*Requirements for Violin:

  • Properly sized instrument and bow, approved by instructor before first lesson
  • Suzuki Violin School instruction book & CD (Volume depends on student’s level)
  • I Can Read Music instruction book
  • Christmas Solos for Beginning Violin (Mel Bay)
  • Daily Practice Calendar
  • Other materials as needed

*Rates may be divided into two installments each semester.
