24 Hours to Go

It’s that time of the year again to celebrate all the creative energy, brilliance, and fortitude of artists and performers from our own backyard in Ghostbird’s annual 24 Hour Festival!

Join us to cheer on our favorite local filmmakers, performers, musicians, and artists as they share their art on Sunday, March 1, at The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and live performances begin at 7:00 p.m. This is a free event–our little gift to the community.

For those of you who wish to participate and not just attend, we invite you to give it a go. Artists of all types and ages are invited to create a work of art in 24 hours, based on some pretty wild prompts delivered by our own Barry Cavin. We don’t know how creative you can be in 24 hours, but we do know you’ll have so much fun you won’t even feel the sleep deprivation.

Cash awards of $500 will be given to best visual artwork, best video, best live performance, and best musical performance.

Our judges this year are Ann Brady, the Director for the Rauschenburg Residency; Kyle Anne Bretschneider, rocker and open-mic impressario; and Leila Mesdaghi, interdisciplinary artist.

Remember, to participate, you must register, and we have limited slots available!  Click the link below to access our on-line registration and all guidelines. It is FREE to register.
