We at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center care deeply about all of you and are doing everything humanly possible in order to protect all visitors and our staff from unnecessary risk. We are closely monitoring updates from the CDC and the Florida Department of Health regarding the Covid-19 virus. We wanted to let you know about some precautionary measures we are taking.
Here’s what we’re doing:
While we have always maintained a comprehensive daily cleaning protocol, we have increased the frequency and scope of our regular cleaning and disinfecting measures. This includes hourly disinfecting of all restrooms, all door handles, stair banisters, elevator panels, cash registers and pin pads, computers, telephones, and all other frequently used surfaces.
We are opening at a reduced capacity with limited hours, reestablishing a new one way foot traffic pattern, and placing signage with friendly reminders to maintain appropriate social distancing throughout the building.
We are requiring all staff members to wash their hands immediately upon arriving to work and to stop working at regular intervals throughout the day to wash hands. All bartenders will be wearing disposable gloves, we will have a single handler of cash and we are encouraging customers to use credit cards or mobile payment methods.
Again, we request everyone do their part. Once our doors reopen to the public on June 5th for the Juried Art Show, you can expect to see signs asking people to come in small groups, wash their hands, be mindful about who and what they touch, remain at least six feet apart, and observe the one way traffic designs while inside the building.
We appreciate your kindness and patience as we navigate this challenging situation. The health and safety of our team and community is our top priority. Please take good care of yourselves, be kind to one another, and don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or concerns. Call us at 239.333.1933.
