EDGE OF COUTURE RETURNS APRIL 24 FOR A ROCK-AND-ROLL RUNWAY EXPERIENCE AT THE SIDNEY & BERNE DAVIS ART CENTER

The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center will transform its Grand Atrium Ballroom into a high-energy runway stage for Edge of Couture: The Art of Fashion on Friday, April 24, 2026, an immersive evening where fashion, music, and performance collide in Downtown Fort Myers.

The evening begins with cocktails at 7:00  PM, followed by the runway show at 8:00  PM, and concludes with a lively VIP rooftop afterparty at 10:00 PM at Sidney’s Rooftop overlooking the Caloosahatchee River.

Now a signature creative showcase for Southwest Florida, Edge of Couture pushes beyond the traditional fashion show by blending couture design with theatrical performance and live music. This year’s production leans into a bold rock-and-roll aesthetic, transforming the runway into a dynamic stage where rebellious style, artistic experimentation, and wearable art take center spotlight.

The runway will feature original collections from regional designers Marcy Putt, Faith Finfrock, Josey Prior, Kris Timson, Kayla Burnett and Lexah Ann, Angelina Guarisco and Andrea McCain, Cesar Aguilera, and Izzy Aye Eye, each presenting distinctive looks that blur the lines between fashion, art, and performance.

Returning as host for the evening is the charismatic Karina Borgia-Lacroix, guiding audiences through an electrifying celebration of creativity and individuality.

Setting the tone for the evening, student musicians from School of Rock Fort Myers will perform live prior to the runway show, bringing an energetic rock prelude to the night’s spectacle. During the runway, DJ DAYYLITE will provide a fusion of rock and electronic beats to drive the show’s immersive atmosphere. During intermission, audiences will enjoy a special performance by Blou Note, a beloved Southwest Florida songstress admired throughout the region’s vibrant music and arts community.

Following the runway presentation, the celebration continues at Sidney’s Rooftop Afterparty, where School of Rock Fort Myers returns with live entertainment for VIP guests.

The show is produced by SBDAC Curator Cesar Aguilera, in collaboration with the creative team at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center.

“This year’s show draws inspiration from the theatrical power and fearless individuality of rock legends,” said Aguilera. “Ozzy Osbourne in particular became an unexpected creative spark for us. His influence represents rebellion, artistry, and unapologetic self-expression, which is exactly the spirit of Edge of Couture. We wanted the runway to feel less like a fashion show and more like a rock concert for wearable art.”

Event sponsors include The Aveda Institute of Fort Myers, whose team will provide professional hair and makeup for the runway models, Fifth Riot Studios, and School of Rock Fort Myers. Catering for the evening will be provided by Frisco’s.

Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle during the event.

Proceeds from the event benefit the arts and education programming of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, a nonprofit organization serving the Southwest Florida community.
