Learning to play the piano can be a very enjoyable hobby. The benefits of learning to play a musical instrument cannot be overstated! The piano is a common instrument for beginning musicians, and many students choose piano to broaden their education as well as their physical and mental performance capacities. Piano is fun to learn, and with dedication and practice, most students can play several simple songs within a month or two.

Catherine is a part of the Gulf Coast Symphony and has been playing violin since she was 8 and piano since she was 9. She grew up in Long Island, NY participating in NYSSMA (NY State School Music Association) for both violin and piano and always excelled every year. She participated in C.W. Post summer Music Camp at the age of 11 and 12 where she played violin and piano alongside high school students.
She earned the George V Rose music scholarship for the high school at the Waldorf School of Garden City, playing violin and piano. She was part of All County Orchestra in middle school and high school.
While she was in High School, during the summer in 2008, she toured throughout Europe as part of a musical performance program for nominated student musicians, called Florida Ambassadors of music. During her time there, she visited 7 different countries over the course of 3 weeks and played violin with a select few from her orchestra class.
Catherine participated in MPA (Music Performance Assessment) with her High School Orchestra in Orlando, Florida, where they were evaluated and consistently scored Superiors. She had a few violin solos with some of the pieces they performed as well. She played at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall as a young pianist, having been invited by the local chapter of the Association of Music Teachers in New York.
She received a Strings scholarship for Florida Southern College, where she minored in music. Upon graduating college, she participated in a community orchestra and choir as well through the Central Florida Community Arts group in Orlando, FL.
She’s also continuing to perform in various musical theatre productions. She was in the Wizard of Oz, where she played the role of Glinda, the good witch
