Jazz Ensemble

Strike a chord this summer in our Jazz Ensemble camp, where students will explore the vibrant world of jazz through collaboration, creativity, and performance. Designed for musicians of varying skill levels, this camp focuses on improvisation, rhythm, and ensemble playing while building confidence and musical expression. Students will work closely with our instructor to learn classic jazz styles, develop their individual sound, and experience the excitement of making music as a group. The week concludes with a live performance, giving campers the chance to showcase their talents for friends and family.

Requirements: Conductor or teacher written (or email) recommendation; One year ensemble experience ; Note reading experience, MJ BAND 1 completion required

Families from out of town are offered a special rate from the Luminary Hotel located walking distance from the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. Email michael@sbdac.com to coordinate booking and inquire about local vacation activities to pair with camp.

Camp Hours:

Monday – Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm

8:00am to 9:00am Daily Before Care (Additional Charge – $25/week)

4:00pm to 5:30pm Daily After Care (Additional Charge – $25/week)

Wraparound Care (Both AM + PM – Total $50/week, Per Student)
