“Eclipse Overtures: Art from the Shadows” unveils a haunting confluence of dark art and the evocative power of music. In this exhibition, each peice is a testament to the silent symphonies that stir the soul, as I draw from the depths of sound and silence to shape visions of the macabre and mystical.

Through a series of pieces that resonate with the rhythm and emotion of unseen melodies, I invite you to explore the interplay of shadow and sound. Here, the brush dances to the tempo of the night, crafting narratives that echo with the essence of music without uttering a single note.

This exhibition is a solo journey into the harmony of contrasting mediums, where the language of music is rendered in striking visual forms. “Eclipse Overtures: Art from the Shadows” is a personal exploration of the spaces where art meets melody, creating a dialogue that reaches beyond the canvas to touch the viewer’s heart.

Artist Bio 

Caleb Morgan is a 46-year-old artist distinguished for his unique surrealist style. His contemporary approach to surrealism is heavily influenced by master artists such as Salvador Dalí and H.R. Giger. Morgan employs a distinctive combination of pencil techniques, negative space, and vibrant contrasting colors—including deep reds and black acrylics—to create evocative, dreamlike imagery and surreal landscapes that appear to emerge from the depths of the imagination.

He possesses an exceptional ability to elevate traditional illustrative mediums such as graphite and acrylic paint into fine art, exploring themes that range from political and religious commentary to personal philosophical insights. His artistic vision is informed by a diverse array of influences and experiences.

Morgan received his formal education at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Rhode Island School of Design. In addition to his artistic pursuits, he is a co-owner of Gallery Chimera in Atlanta. With over 14 years of professional experience, he has established an international reputation as a leading tattoo artist, recognized for his innovative and impactful work. Furthermore, Morgan has appeared as an actor in various film and television projects.

In the haunting depths of my imagination, I find solace and inspiration to create art that transcends the boundaries of the ordinary. As an artist and tattooist, I delve into the darkness within to unveil the beauty that lies beneath. My name is Caleb Morgan, and through the medium of acrylic painting, I bring forth a world that is both dark and captivatingly beautiful.

In my artworks, the colors black, white, and red reign supreme, intertwining to form a visual symphony that speaks of mystery and emotion. These hues, stark and bold, serve as the gateway to a realm where shadows dance with light, where beauty emerges from the depths of darkness.

Texture and atmosphere are the pillars of my artistic expression. Each brushstroke carries with it a sense of depth and emotion, creating a tactile experience that draws the viewer into a world of haunting beauty. Through the interplay of light and shadow, I seek to evoke a sense of unease and awe, inviting contemplation and introspection.

My art is a reflection of the shadows that dwell within us all, a testament to the beauty that can be found in darkness. It is my hope that those who encounter my work will be moved, inspired, and perhaps even haunted by the depths of emotion that lie within each piece.
