The Famous Author Lecture Series brings national and international bestselling authors to Fort Myers, enriching the community with high-quality literary experiences. These 2-hour events invite guests to meet and listen to best-selling authors sharing their experiences and offering insights into their works all while enjoying a delicious lunch catered by Frisco’s, followed by a personal book signing opportunity.

About Tara September

Tara September is a multi-award-winning contemporary romance author living in Southwest Florida with her identical twin boys and four distractions (I mean cats) underfoot. A former PR executive for The Walt Disney Company and communications manager for WWE, Tara holds a Master’s degree in journalism & communications from New York University and a B.A. from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Tara is also the current President of the Southwest Florida Fiction Writers group and a local social media influencer.

Most recently, her college sports romance, Hot and Cold in her popular “Lesson in Love” series was the 2024 Golden Leaf Award Winner for Short Contemporary.
