Open Call for Artists
Celebrating 250 Years of the United States of America
Exhibition Dates: July 2026
Location: The Grand Atrium
Submission Deadline: June 15, 2026
About the Exhibition
In 2026, the United States will commemorate its 250th birthday, a milestone honoring the nation’s history, cultural diversity, and creative spirit. The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center invites artists of all backgrounds to submit work for this special exhibition, which will explore America’s past, present, and future through the lens of visual art.
The Grand Atrium’s soaring architecture will provide an inspiring space for this collection, which aims to spark dialogue, reflection, and celebration of what it means to be part of the American story.
Theme
Artists are encouraged to interpret the 250th anniversary in their own way—, through historical reflection, cultural expression, social commentary, or visions of the future. Submissions can be traditional, conceptual, or experimental.
Possible topics include:
- American history and heritage
- Cultural diversity and identity
- National symbols and icons
- Social progress and challenges
