What will humanity wear when technology, nature, art, and identity evolve?

Edge of Couture 2027: Future Relics invites audiences to step into the Museum of Tomorrow for an immersive evening of wearable art, fashion, and performance inspired by civilizations yet to come.

This year, designers become architects of possible futures, transforming the human body into a living gallery wall. Each creation becomes an artifact from tomorrow: a glimpse into imagined worlds shaped by technological evolution, nature, space, identity, culture, and the limitless possibilities of human creativity.

From elegant futuristic couture and experimental materials to sculptural forms and theatrical transformations, Future Relics challenges participating designers to go beyond simply imagining what fashion might look like in the future. Instead, they are asked to consider the stories behind their creations: Who wore them? What civilization created them? What purpose did they serve? And what might they reveal about who humanity eventually becomes?

The evening will also introduce Generations: A Wearable Dialogue Between Past and Future, a special featured collection pairing adult and young models in companion ensembles that explore how identity, tradition, creativity, and imagination are carried from one generation to the next.

More than a traditional fashion show, Edge of Couture celebrates the intersection of fine art, fashion, performance, and imagination. For one extraordinary evening, the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center becomes a museum from another time, and the runway becomes a portal into futures that have yet to be written.
