Overview
Ideas Encontradas (“Found Ideas”) emerges from the convergence of two creative universes that, rather than existing in opposition, merge into a singular visual voice. This exhibition brings together works developed by the two artists of H&Ostudio;, where individual authorship begins to dissolve into a shared artistic identity. Each piece feels like a fragment of one collective consciousness, a language shaped through material, memory, and emotion.
Through sculptures that move between the human, the spiritual, and the symbolic, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the inner self and the invisible forces that shape existence. Bodies appear incomplete, fragmented, or transformed. Boats pass through impossible structures. Figures emerge beneath the weight of history, faith, and displacement. Everything seems suspended in a state of transition, as though caught between departure and arrival.
Migration is explored not only as a geographic journey, but as an emotional and spiritual condition. Boats, outstretched hands, suspended figures, and hybrid creatures evoke the crossing of boundaries: physical, cultural, and psychological. In these works, migration also becomes an act of reinvention, a process of shedding former versions of oneself while enduring the uncertainty of transformation.
Strength forms another central thread throughout the exhibition. Not strength as spectacle or monument, but as something intimate and quiet: the ability to remain standing amid change, to preserve sensitivity within fracture. Metallic surfaces, weathered textures, and contrasts between weight and fragility create a constant tension between vulnerability and endurance. Each sculpture carries the feeling of something both wounded and resilient, like relics retrieved from an emotional shipwreck.
Ultimately, Ideas Encontradas poses a profound question: to what extent does a work of art truly belong to the person who creates it? Within H&Ostudio;, ideas are exchanged, altered, and absorbed into one another until they become inseparable. The exhibition is not simply about two artists working side by side, but about a unified vision born from two distinct human experiences that discover, through art, a shared territory.
