OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Calling all musicians, bands, filmmakers, directors, and visual artists!

The Music Video Throwdown returns to the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center on January 23, 2027, and we’re looking for bold, original music videos from local, national, and international creators.

Got a collaboration you’ve been talking about? This is your sign to make it happen. Bring your sound, your vision, and your creative crew together for a chance to see your work on the big screen.

This juried showcase celebrates independent music, visual storytelling, and freedom of expression. Selected music videos will be screened for a live audience and a guest panel of judges, with awards presented in three categories.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please review all requirements before submitting your work.

1. Original music only. Videos must feature an original musical composition by an independent band or solo artist.

2. Absolutely NO generative AI. AI-generated content of any kind will not be accepted. This includes graphics, illustrations, animations, video footage, vocals, musical compositions, or other generated audio and visual elements.

3. Landscape format required. All videos must be submitted in horizontal format for theatrical screening.

4. YouTube link required. Submit a public or unlisted YouTube link to your completed music video.

5. Freedom of expression encouraged. All genres and creative styles are welcome. Submissions may include explicit language, imagery, or mature themes.

6. Open to independent creators everywhere. Local, national, and international submissions are welcome.
